Fragrance inspired by Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic Guerlain
In 2007, perfumer Marie Salamagne crafted Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic—a fragrance that captures a radiant Sicilian morning in a bottle.
Freshly peeled mandarins meet aromatic basil leaves, offering the breezy joy of a Mediterranean holiday.
Mandarine Basilic is a citrus-green scent released in 2007. A sparkling mosaic of mandarin, clementine and bitter orange melts into a herbal heart of basil, orange blossom and peony, while the base leaves a sheer trail of green tea, amber and soft sandalwood. It feels like a cool breeze in an orange grove.
Opening shines with mandarin, clementine and bitter orange. The Heart beats with fresh basil, orange blossom and peony. The Base calms into green tea, amber and sandalwood.
First comes a burst of juicy citrus; soon a velvety green note of basil envelops the skin, and in warm weather the scent lasts for up to 6 hours.
Longevity is moderate: ideal for hot days, office hours and casual strolls.
